TENDER DESCRIPTION

Within the framework of the funded expansion of the grey spots in accordance with the Federal Government’s Gigabit Guideline dated 26.04.2021, the Zweckverband Breitband Landkreis Schwäbisch Hall (ZV) builds a passive fibre-optic network (FTTB) in the area of Michelfeld. The ZV carries out planning and construction of the passive network separately. Network commissioning is expected to start in the year 2027, likely no later than 2032. According to the non-binding forecast (Annex 2 – performance description, Section 3.5.3), the lot is expected to include around 235 address points. The ZV does not itself provide network operation services as well as Internet and telecommunication services. Therefore, the subject of this lot is the leasing of the passive fibre-optic network to a network operator which, by means of a service concession, ensures network operation including the build-out and operation of the active technology and provides Internet and telecommunication services, including as a bundled offer, to private and business end customers.
