TENDER DESCRIPTION
Ekerö Municipality intends to procure a digital, cloud-based library system for public and school library operations, with an associated public website for the public library operations. The purpose of the procurement is to ensure a long-term sustainable, flexible and user-friendly digital infrastructure that supports the libraries in Ekerö’s mission to promote reading, knowledge, participation and democracy. The library system and the associated public website shall meet today’s and future needs of residents, visitors and staff in accordance with Appendix – Requirements specification. The Culture and Leisure Department of Ekerö Municipality is the contracting authority and the recipient of the procured system. Current situation The Culture and Leisure Department of Ekerö Municipality currently uses the library system Book-IT and the integrated website Axiell Arena Nova. Ekerö Municipality estimates that approximately 25 employees within the Culture and Leisure Department use the system and website today.
