TENDER DESCRIPTION

Objective: According to NBS 2030, by 2027 the federal government shall ensure that aspects of biodiversity are also taken into account in the general administrative regulations for public procurement. Initial foundations for this already exist. However, to achieve this comprehensively, existing approaches and analyses of selected biodiversity criteria for specific product groups, which are particularly relevant for biodiversity and public procurement, shall be deepened, the process accompanied and further developed. Measures: As part of a precursor project, recommendations to promote biodiversity in the Federal General Administrative Regulations (AVV) were developed for the product groups paper products/printed matter, food and meals (canteen management), and catering services. These recommendations specify concrete content requirements for the procurement items, compliance with which leads to better protection of biodiversity in federal procurement.
