TENDER DESCRIPTION

Flughafen Zürich AG is constructing, between Parking Garage 1 and 2, a building which is to be used as a “Foodhall” and which connects the landside passenger areas. As part of this new build, adjacent existing areas in the vicinity of Parking Garages 1 and 2 will also be redesigned. The main entrance to the Foodhall from the side of the bus station forms a glazed wind catcher on Level G1 below the connecting bridge between Parking Garages 1 and 2. The internal pedestrian access from Level G0 to the Foodhall level G1 is provided via spacious escalator and fixed stair installations below the glazing of the main entrance wind catcher, which is therefore positioned over an airspace. In order to allow the wind catcher glazing above the airspace to be cleaned and maintained as well, a rail-guided cleaning bridge will be constructed above the airspace. This driving/equipment facility forms part of the present invitation to tender.
