TENDER DESCRIPTION

The property in question is the Rotational Building of RWTH Aachen, Building 4242, component 24B, at Sommerfeldstraße 18, 52074 Aachen. The building was constructed in 1976 and is used as an RWTH Aachen university building for research, teaching and working areas. In the basement storey of the building, there are electrical operating and supply areas with existing switchgear and switch cabinets for supplying the building services systems. As part of the project "Repair of HVAC switchgear", the processing and/or renewal/adjustment of the electrical equipment in the cellar rooms is to be carried out. The measure relates to the existing switch cabinets of the ventilation system and the associated electrical infrastructure in the basement storey of the building. The need for renovation was already identified in 2006 and has been included in RWTH’s maintenance plan since 2021. Despite partial measures already implemented by RWTH, the load-carrying section is still located in the old switch cabinets.
