TENDER DESCRIPTION

Since it was commissioned in 1957, the former hard coal power plant Shamrock supplied electricity and district heating with an output of 300.0 MW. It has been idle since its shutdown in 2013, i.e., the existing building components are for the most part out of operation after termination of use; however, the power plant technology is still largely installed. A small part of the remaining buildings is still in operation. These include the district heating pipeline, switchgear and the oil tank in the west, although these are located outside the planning area. The building components that are no longer used are to be assigned to a new use or dismantled. In order to define the framework conditions for a new planning concept, a site survey and, in particular, an exploratory investigation of pollutants is necessary. Using the findings from the exploratory investigation of pollutants, a basis for decision-making regarding possible subsequent uses of the building components and the necessary dismantling scenarios as a prerequisite for further use of the site can subsequently be formulated.
