    TENDER DESCRIPTION

    Since its commissioning in 1957, the former hard coal power plant Shamrock supplied electricity and district heating with an output of 300.0 MW. Since it was shut down in 2013, it has been derelict, i.e. the retained parts of the buildings are, for the most part, out of operation after the end of use; however, the power plant technology is still installed largely in place. A small part of the remaining buildings is still in operation. These include the district heating pipeline, switchgear and the oil tank in the west, although these are located outside the planning area. The building parts no longer used are to be provided for a new use or decommissioned. In order to be able to define the framework conditions for a new plan, an inventory survey is necessary, and in particular a survey of pollutants. Based on the findings of the pollutant survey, a decision-making basis for possible follow-on uses of the building parts and/or the necessary decommissioning scenarios as a prerequisite for further use of the site can subsequently be formulated.
