TENDER DESCRIPTION

The former hard coal-fired power plant Shamrock supplied electricity and district heating since its commissioning in 1957 with an output of 300.0 MW. It has been derelict since its shutdown in 2013, i.e. the preserved parts of the buildings are, after cessation of use, for the most part out of operation; however, the power plant technology is still largely installed. A small part of the remaining buildings is still in operation. These include the district heating pipeline, switchgear and the oil tank in the west, but these are located outside the planning area. The building parts that are no longer used are to be put to new use or dismantled. In order to define the conditions for a new plan, an inventory survey is necessary, and in particular a survey of contaminants. Based on the findings from the contaminant survey, a basis for decision-making for possible follow-on uses of the building parts and/or the necessary dismantling scenarios can subsequently be formulated as a prerequisite for the continued use of the site.
