General description of the design task: Design usable floor area: 2157 m2. The mid-term objective of the design is the function-changing rehabilitation of the entire educational complex located on the plot at 39-43 Baross utca, District IV, Budapest, by repurposing the existing school buildings for residential use, with their full-scale architectural and energy refurbishment. The development—consistent with the social and housing policy objectives of the Budapest Capital City Municipality—serves to expand the supply of affordable rental housing. The task of the successful tenderer (hereinafter: the Designer) is to perform the general design for the conversion of an existing, unused school building [Budapest IV. kerület, Baross u. 39-43.
