TENDER DESCRIPTION

On the site of the former transmitting station on the outskirts of Jülich and in immediate proximity to the campus of FH Aachen, a science park and an innovative industrial estate with an area of around 52 ha are currently being developed (hereinafter: “Brainergy Park Jülich”). The contracting authority’s task is to supply the properties in Brainergy Park with heat. The buildings are to be supplied with heat via a nearly CO₂-neutral district heating system. This water-filled LowEx network is operated by a central energy centre, which provides cooling in summer and heat in winter. Heat is provided on a decentralized basis by heat pump systems installed in containers.
