TENDER DESCRIPTION

It is the primary goal of UKM to expand the existing clinic grounds in a sustainable and future-oriented manner. For this purpose, thematically related facilities are to be consolidated in overarching functional areas in order to offer and ensure even more efficient and economical patient care in the future. Against this background, UKM has had the extensive and multi-stage master planning "Future Medicine Münster 2020 - the new UKM" designed over recent years. The developed master plan envisages a spatial-functional and structural reorganization of the entire clinic grounds and focuses on the spatial consolidation and linkage of the areas of patient care, research, and teaching. A significant part of the further developed master plan are the plans regarding the new construction of the so-called Operative Center (also "OPZ"). The OPZ is to be located immediately in front of the central hospital as an extension building and aligned parallel to Albert-Schweitzer-Straße. The clinical areas of ENT, dermatology, and surgery are to be sensibly consolidated in this extension building. Furthermore, the creation of extensive parking areas is planned.
