TENDER DESCRIPTION
It is the primary goal of UKM to expand the existing clinic campus in a sustainable and future-proof manner. To this end, thematically related facilities are to be bundled in overarching functional areas in order to be able to offer and ensure even more efficient and economical patient care in the future. Against this background, UKM has had the extensive and multi-stage master plan "Future Medicine Münster 2020 - the new UKM" developed in recent years. The developed master plan envisions a spatial-functional and structural reorganization of the entire clinic campus and focuses on the spatial consolidation and connection of the areas of patient care, research, and teaching. An essential part of the further developed master plan are the plans around the new construction of the so-called Operational Center (also "OPZ"). The OPZ is to be located immediately in front of the central clinic in the form of an extension building and oriented parallel to Albert-Schweitzer-Straße. In the extension building, the clinical departments of ENT, dermatology, and surgery are to be sensibly combined. Furthermore, the creation of extensive parking areas is planned.
