TENDER DESCRIPTION

This procurement concerns the construction of tunnel and excavation shaft works for the MAXIMA wastewater facility. The tunnel and excavation shaft works are divided into two separate contracts, Avloppstunnel Norr (Wastewater Tunnel North) and Avloppstunnel Söder (Wastewater Tunnel South), and are procured collectively in one package in which tenderers may choose to submit tenders for one or both of the contracts.
 Avloppstunnel Norr comprises 4 excavation shafts and a main tunnel 10.5 km long with an internal diameter of about 3 metres, running from southern Lund to Sjölunda in the north-eastern part of Malmö. 
 Avloppstunnel Söder comprises 11 excavation shafts, 2 microtunnels, and the main tunnel, which runs 5.5 km through central Malmö and has an internal diameter of about 5 metres. 
 The tunnels will transport wastewater by gravity flow and will function as storage during heavy rainfall. In both contracts, construction, civil engineering, and installation works for the new wastewater tunnels are included.
