TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Upper Franconia, based in Bayreuth, plans to construct a training centre at the site in Bamberg. The development site available for new development is made up of the parcels with plot numbers 4406/14, 4450/2, 4450/1, and in part 4408. The new building for the training centre in Bamberg is intended to create a sustainable ensemble that establishes identity, takes on a anchoring function in the quarter, and forms the eastern end of the prospective urban development south of Forchheimer Straße, with service and educational uses. In accordance with the character of a craft-based training centre, the plot is zoned into development-site clusters in which extension areas are also taken into account. Internal and external access routes connect the clusters and create open spaces appropriate to the intended use. The orthogonal zoning is oriented towards the southern access road, as this also establishes links to the expected development to the west. A green buffer with a width of 10 m is planned along Forchheimer Straße.
