General construction description The Chamber of Skilled Trades for Upper Franconia (Handwerkskammer für Oberfranken) with its seat in Bayreuth plans to establish an education centre at the site Bamberg. The development plot available for the new development comprises the parcels with the plot numbers 4406/14, 4450/2, 4450/1, partly 4408. The new building for the Bamberg education centre is intended to create a sustainable, identity-forming ensemble that fulfills a anchoring function in the quarter and forms the eastern end of the perspective urban development south of Forchheimer Straße with service and educational uses. In keeping with the characteristics of a craft-oriented education centre, the site is zoned into development plot clusters (Baufeldcluster), in which extension areas are also taken into account. Internal and external circulation routes connect the clusters and create open spaces appropriate to the use. The orthogonal zoning is oriented to the southern access road, since this is how references to the expected development in the west can also be established.
