Lot 1 - Zone A – Broyage de surface et préparation de sol (66 Ha)

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this service is to carry out preparatory work prior to planting. The zones to be reforested that have been harvested will be shredded and soil work will be carried out to enable two types of planting: full area or enrichment patches. The expected service includes two tasks:  Task 1: surface shredding; For sites to be reforested in full, the contractor shall carry out mechanized line shredding 2.5 m wide. Each line will be spaced 3 m apart, leaving a 0.5 m inter-band unshredded. Shredding must be done at ground level to minimize forest weeds, harvesting residues, and exposed stumps. Mulching resulting from shredding will be kept on the surface without incorporation. Prior to shredding intervention, the contractor shall mark out each line respecting reforestation boundaries previously marked by Andra or its representatives. The contractor must preserve areas of environmental interest and elements to keep (habitat trees, tree clusters, etc.) indicated to them. Access for machines will be on load-bearing soil to avoid rutting and compaction, depending on soil sensitivity and moisture status.
