TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Bremen plant of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH is the competence center for the maintenance of large diesel engines and drive systems. As part of engine maintenance, numerous crankcases of different engine model lines are mechanically machined, measured and repaired every year. In particular, this includes engines from the manufacturers MTU, Caterpillar and Cummins. The crankcases are currently processed on several existing machines. In order to ensure production capacity in the long term and to modernize machining, measuring and documentation processes, a new CNC machining center is to be procured. The system is intended to combine the machining and measurement of the relevant components in one machine and to enable a largely automated execution of the work and inspection processes. The subject of this procurement procedure is the planning, production, delivery, installation, commissioning, training and final acceptance of a CNC machining center, including all required hardware and software components, as well as integration into the existing workshop and IT/OT infrastructure of the Bremen plant.
