TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Project is to reduce flood risk in the municipalities involved, mainly in Aldaia and Xirivella, by channeling the surges of the Barranco de la Saleta caused at its headwaters by episodes of heavy rainfall, in order to convey them to the new bed of the Turia River, allowing the environmental connection of the last section through the proposed greenway and increasing the current level of protection against flood risk. The actions included in the Project include the environmental adaptation of the Barranco de la Saleta, a channeling measure that begins at the height of the CV 410 at the access to Aldaia, to its industrial area and the shopping center Bonaire, an underground diversion conduit under the industrial estate and running along the edge of the built-up area of Aldaia and a greenway with an open-section on land from downstream of the roundabout connecting Aldaia, Xirivella and Alaquas and in the vicinity of the EDAR Quart Benager for delivery into the new bed of the Turia River.
