TENDER DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the Project is to reduce the flood risk in the involved municipalities, mainly Aldaia and Xirivella, by channeling the floods of the Barranco de la Saleta caused at its source by episodes of heavy rainfall, to direct them to the new riverbed of the Turia River, allowing the environmental connection of the last section through the proposed greenway and increasing the current level of protection against flood risk. The actions included in the Project involve the environmental adaptation of the Barranco de la Saleta, a channeling that begins at the height of the CV 410 at the access to Aldaia, its industrial zone and the Bonaire shopping center, an underground diversion conduit beneath the industrial estate and bordering the urban area of Aldaia, and an open-section greenway on land from downstream of the roundabout connecting Aldaia, Xirivella and Alaquas and the vicinity of the Quart Benager WWTP for its discharge into the new riverbed of the Turia River.
