TENDER DESCRIPTION

The objective of the Project is to reduce the flood risk in the involved municipalities, mainly in Aldaia and Xirivella, by channeling the floodwaters of the Barranco de la Saleta caused at its headwaters by episodes of heavy rain, to direct them to the new course of the Turia River, allowing environmental connection of the last section through the proposed greenway and increasing the current protection level against flood risk. The actions comprising the Project include the environmental adaptation of the Barranco de la Saleta, a channeling that begins at the height of the CV 410 at the access to Aldaia, its industrial zone and the Bonaire shopping center, an underground diversion pipeline under the industrial estate and bordering the urban area of Aldaia, and an open-section greenway on land from downstream of the roundabout junction between Aldaia, Xirivella and Alaquas and near the EDAR Quart Benager for discharge into the new course of the Turia River.
