TENDER DESCRIPTION

The assignment concerns the appointment of a construction team partner for the design guidance and the execution of the works for sub-project 2 of the culture hub: the Minderbroederskerk in Mechelen. The contractor will, from the design phase onwards, form part of a construction team together with the contracting authority and the design team. Within this form of collaboration, the contractor brings its technical, organisational and cost/pricing expertise in order to further optimise the design in terms of quality, feasibility for execution, scheduling, budget management and sustainability. The assignment includes a fixed portion, consisting of participation in the construction team phase and design guidance, as well as a conditional portion relating to the execution of the works. The execution will only be awarded if the conditions set out in the specifications are met. The construction team partner is expected to actively contribute to the development of a technically and economically feasible execution file, to identify risks in a timely manner, to propose optimisations and to contribute to efficient project delivery.
