TENDER DESCRIPTION
The aim of the project is to obtain an overall overview of the embedded operating systems used in the vehicle (including virtualization environments) and an assessment of their cybersecurity properties. In doing so, the operating conditions (hardware platforms, access options to control units, etc.) and the interaction of the operating systems within the overall vehicle architecture are to be taken into account. In addition to considering the systems currently available on the market and relevant standards, an outlook on future developments is also to be provided. Requirements for vehicle operating systems from a cybersecurity perspective are to be derived from the applicable regulations and standards. This includes requirements for tests as part of type approval and market surveillance. In addition to a source research for the market overview, practical analyses of various operating systems are also to be carried out. These are to be conducted within work package 5 (AP 5). The test catalogue to be developed is to be practically verifiable here. The result of the project is a study that includes the content described above.
