TENDER DESCRIPTION
The research topic DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) is integrated at the DLR Institute for the Protection of Maritime Infrastructures (MI) in Bremerhaven. The long-term operation of DAS systems on telecommunications cables in the Baltic Sea, North Sea, and various port areas is to be established. The DAS systems detect disturbances on telecommunications cables, such as those triggered by the acoustic waves of passing ships. The aim is to protect telecommunications cables from sabotage.
