TENDER DESCRIPTION
The research topic DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) is integrated into the DLR Institute for the Protection of Maritime Infrastructures (MI) in Bremerhaven. The long-term operation of DAS systems on telecommunication cables in the respective Baltic and North Seas as well as in various port areas is to be established. The DAS systems detect disturbances on telecommunication cables, such as those caused by the acoustic waves of passing ships. The goal is to protect telecommunication cables against sabotage.
