TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority is the state broadcasting corporations of the Association of Public Service Broadcasting Corporations in the Federal Republic of Germany (ARD), the Second German Television (ZDF) and Deutschlandradio (DR), represented by the management of the contribution service of ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio. As part of this procurement procedure, the contracting authority invites tenders for the renewal of the data backup system ETERNUS CS8800 operated at the Cologne site, including the switches required to connect the physical tape libraries. The objectives of this procurement measure are the procurement of a technologically up-to-date ETERNUS CS8800 including all required licenses, as well as the conclusion of a maintenance contract until 31.12.2029 with an optional extension by a further twelve months until 31.12.2030. The scope of performance also includes the delivery, installation, integration and commissioning of the new components into the existing environment, as well as the required configuration and migration work up to and including acceptance.
