TENDER DESCRIPTION

These eight sectors form the core of the study framework. The contractor shall take into account material interdependencies and strategic partnerships with other energy-intensive as well as upstream and downstream industrial sectors, [JS5.1] insofar as these are relevant for assessing strategic material and substance flows. The contractor must identify and assess resulting supply gaps, dependencies, conflicts of use and opportunities in decarbonised value chains [JS6.1][CI6.2]. In addition, the contractor must identify business models that are fit for the future, with which industry and policy can make use of the opportunities arising and overcome transformation risks. The objective of the contract is to produce a study in order to provide decision-makers from industry and policy with reliable information and options for action. The study to be produced must show how the transformation of raw material use and value creation can be shaped proactively, in a coordinated manner and in a way that is competitive.
