TENDER DESCRIPTION

This tender concerns a Main Contract for the project "The Maritime School Home." The project includes the establishment of a school home for 43 vocational school students from across the country, who are training to become boat builders and sailmakers. The school home will be part of the upcoming Maritime Development Center in Shipyard Hall 19 at Helsingør Cultural Harbour. The project consists partly of an existing two-story building including a basement, which will be converted into a common house, and partly of a new two-story building where the students' bedrooms will be located. Both buildings will be constructed with pitched roofs. The existing building has a brick facade, while the new building will primarily be built with timber structures and wooden facades combined with slender, heavy concrete decks facing the courtyard and a plastered facade towards the street side. The building is designed as a closed block around the existing building, creating a natural, inner courtyard for the use of the house’s residents.
