TENDER DESCRIPTION

Pursuant to Section 12a of the Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Gesetz zur Gleichstellung von Menschen mit Behinderungen - Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, BGG), the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit, BA) is obliged to ensure accessibility of its digital offers and information. This statutory obligation applies to all IT applications (among others, the Internet and Intranet), but also to digital documents such as PDF documents, as well as in the context of electronic records management (§ 2 BITV 2.0). To verify and ensure this, the Usability Accessibility Center (UAC) commissions external assessments for already deployed IT applications, for IT applications to be newly procured or developed. In addition, the units and areas are supported and accompanied in addressing identified accessibility problems, and also in the development of the integration of accessibility into the software development process from the very beginning (Shift-Left).
