TENDER DESCRIPTION

The State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (LUNG) plans the digitisation of all water level recording charts stored in the archives of the 5 locations (Schwerin, Rostock, Stralsund, Ueckermünde and Neubrandenburg) of StÄLU. The following main objectives are in particular the focus: • prevent the physical loss of important records • digitisation of documents available in paper form (water level chart, water level note sheets, etc.) • extraction of higher-resolution measurement data from the water level recording charts • check the quality of the digitised final result • provide historical data as time series usable in digital form in the FIS Pegel The data thus obtained will expand the data base of State hydrology by generating time highly resolved data for those periods of the more distant past in which water level recording charts were predominantly used, instead of data with daily resolution or date values, for these periods. As a result, the digitised and quantised rating curves of the daily usage of State hydrology are to be provided in the specialist information system FIS Pegel.
