TENDER DESCRIPTION

Supply of 500 Mg of road salt for winter maintenance of district roads 1. The subject of the contract is successive delivery of road rock salt with anti-caking agent, intended for winter maintenance of roads, sidewalks and pedestrian-and-cycle paths within the area managed by the Contracting Authority during the winter season. 2. Required product: natural rock salt, mined, in crystalline form, non-waste (rock salt produced as a by-product of chemical processes and fine-grained sea salt are excluded). 3. The salt must come directly from current mining production. Each delivery must be free from foreign contaminants (e.g., sand, clay, substrate, metal or wooden elements) that could lead to breakdowns of spreading devices. 4. Required characteristics, chemical and grain composition for road salt DR: - form - crystalline, loose product - colour - white, white-grey - sodium chloride (NaCl) content > 90% - water (H2O) content < 3% - content of water-insoluble matter < 8% - potassium ferrocyanide (K4Fe(CN)6) content - min. 20 mg/kg - salt granularity in the range from below 1 mm to 6 mm, grains above 6 mm - max. 10%. 5.
