TENDER DESCRIPTION
The extension to FAM is intended to expand the existing floor areas and create better physical conditions for the functions of the Emergency Department. The project includes construction of a new building section that is connected to the existing FAM building at New OUH. The project is carried out as part of the overall hospital construction and is executed in direct connection with an existing building that is being built at the same time. The building has been constructed as a shell prior to the start of the tendered contracts and comprises the ground floor and several storeys above ground level. The extension to FAM is built together with the adjacent building, which results in technical and building-related interfaces that must be handled during planning and execution. The project is tendered as several separate contracts, which together are intended to ensure completion of the building up to handover. The works are carried out in parallel and with interdependencies, which is why coordination, sequence and clear operational readiness of the building are central to the implementation of the project.
