Flow reactivation and rehabilitation of the Räderbach and channel structures - planning services for engineering structures under §§ 41 ff HOAI and structural engineering under §§ 49 ff HOAI, engineering structures LPH 3-9 and structural engineering LPH 1-6 The City of Offenburg will hold a state horticultural show (Landesgartenschau) in 2032. The island approximately 500 m long between the Offenburger Mühl canal and the Räderbach will be a central part of the Landesgartenschau Offenburg 2032. Originally, the Mühl canal was dammed at the old weir near the present-day waterworks, and a large portion of the runoff was directed into the Räderbach for the generation of hydropower. Today, the historic weir is out of operation and ecological continuity in this section of the Mühlbach has been established. Due to the missing impoundment, hardly any water flows through the Räderbach anymore. As a result, the Räderbach is silted up, which further reduces runoff. The historic bank reinforcement works and walls along the two watercourses are, in part, severely damaged.
