TENDER DESCRIPTION
TIMS (Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer) - mass spectrometer with a solid source (1 unit): it will be dedicated to applications in which isotopic measurements require the highest level of analytical precision. Among them are measurements of classic radiogenic isotopes on sediments, minerals and rocks (87Sr/86Sr, 143Nd/144Nd, 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, 208Pb/204Pb), but also new innovative applications such as measurements of light isotopes of general geochemical interest (6Li/7Li, 9B/10B) and in climate change issues (42Ca/44Ca). Also, short-lived isotopes (210Pb, 90Sr) relevant to issues of radioactive pollution and for geochronology over timescales of decades will be measured using TIMS.
