The core scope of work for this tender involves the purchase, delivery, and commissioning of an electrophysiology platform. This platform is an integrated experimental setup designed for advanced systems neuroscience research on acute brain slice preparations at the Institute of Biology of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.

The key functionalities and deliverables of the system include:

• Combined two-photon imaging, optogenetic stimulation, and simultaneous electrophysiological recordings with high spatial and temporal precision.
• A complete Two-Photon-Scanning-Microscope System, encompassing wide-field microscopy, wide-field illumination, and both wide-field and point/mask optogenetic stimulation.
• An electrophysiology component, specifically a Dual-Patch-Clamp System with amplifier, data acquisition, and manipulators.
• Integrated data acquisition and control software.
• An optical table, an enclosure, and laser safety infrastructure.
• The system must be delivered as a complete, turnkey solution, including all necessary hardware, software, installation, calibration, and training services by technically and biologically qualified personnel.
• The supplier is responsible for the full system integration, ensuring functionality and performance as per the acceptance protocol.
• It must be optimized for ex vivo brain slice electrophysiology, supporting stable whole-cell patch-clamp recordings.
• The system needs to be supplied by a single vendor, who will bear full responsibility for system integration, delivery, installation, service, and training.
• Long-term availability (at least 7 years) for critical components such as detectors, lasers, and electronics is also a requirement.
