    TENDER DESCRIPTION

    The School Foundation of the Diocese of Augsburg, a church foundation under public law, is tendering the ELT specialist planning (service specification § 55 HOAI) for the general renovation and partial replacement construction of the Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium in St. Ottilien in phases starting from service phase 1. The Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium, currently with over 680 students and 60 teachers, is housed in a school building from the 1960s that was expanded in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The current school building is not barrier-free and exhibits significant functional deficiencies as well as structural/building physics defects. The so-called day care center (former St. Katharina Monastery) currently houses rooms for all-day care of the students. The former St. Katharina Monastery has meanwhile been designated as an individual monument under monument protection. After thorough variant studies, it is now planned to fully renovate the former St. Katharina Monastery and use it for school purposes in the future.
