APPLIES TO BOTH LOTS 1. Project description The Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo plans the energy-efficient refurbishment and conversion of the former Anne-Frank School. The aim is to create a future-oriented, barrier-free and multifunctional centre in which music and cultural education, meeting, participation and public-spirited orientation come together. The project is based on the “Strategic City Goals 2030” of the Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo as the binding framework for municipal decisions. The goal “Lively local districts and identification” is assigned to the leisure facilities concept developed as part of a LEADER project. This focuses on strengthening local infrastructure, social participation and civic engagement and expressly recommends expanding the city music school. The energy-efficient refurbishment eliminates vacancy and enables sustainable follow-on use. At the same time, through preservation of existing fabric and energy-efficient modernisation, the project makes an active contribution to climate protection and supports implementation of the strategic city goals 2030. 1.
