TENDER DESCRIPTION

The municipal enterprise KreisWirtschaftsBetriebe Goslar of the Goslar district (KWB) performs the tasks and exercises the powers of the Goslar district as a public-law disposal authority in accordance with Section 20 of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act (Kreislaufwirtschaftsgesetz, KrWG) and the Lower Saxony Waste Act (Niedersächsisches Abfallgesetz, NAbfG). Pursuant to Section 2(1) of the operating statutes for the municipal enterprise “KreisWirtschaftsBetriebe Goslar” of the Goslar district dated 17.12.2019, KWB is responsible, among other things, for transporting and disposing of the leachate generated during the operation of the Bornhausen and Morgenstern landfills. Under the present procurement procedure, KWB will subcontract to a third party the task of disposing of the leachate generated at the Bornhausen and Morgenstern landfills starting on 01.01.2027. The task of transporting landfill leachate is not part of the present procurement procedure and remains solely the responsibility of the contracting authority/KWB.
