    TENDER DESCRIPTION

    Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), the Client, through its Waste Services line of business, is procuring an open framework for Environmental Safety Case. The Client requires specialist technical services to support the application of and further development of its ESC. This involves the provision of suitably qualified people to support the delivery of scoped packages of work to support NWS’ ESC team in fulfilling its obligations as set out by the regulator and undertaking the forward work programme. The scope of work under this framework involves the provision of support to the ESC team in undertaking the technical activities identified below. Emerging requirements may be identified, noting that integrating tools and techniques of the LLWR and the GDF ESC Safety Cases will be an objective for NWS in the coming years. An Environmental Safety Case (ESC) is a comprehensive set of reports concerning the environmental safety of the disposal of solid radioactive waste, underpinned by a structured collection of arguments and scientific evidence.
