TENDER DESCRIPTION

Research work followed by evaluation of experiences with local and time-limited deterrence measures against cormorants in the Lake Constance region and in other regions of Europe. Subsequently, concepts are to be developed for particularly endangered sub-populations of endangered fish species in the Lake Constance region. For this purpose, based on the results of work package 3a1, which determines the times and places with increased cormorant predation in the Lake Constance area, possible deterrence measures for cormorants at flowing waters are to be researched and assessed and conceptualised with regard to their suitability in relation to the respective local conditions. In doing so, certain fish populations of the target fish species (e.g. grayling populations of European or pan-Swiss importance) are to be treated as a priority. In addition, in certain parts of the lake and the catchment area (e.g. the Constance Trichter, the High Rhine/Rhine between Lake Constance and Basel), where cormorant predation causes significant damage to protected / endangered fish species, concepts for measures are to be developed on how fish species protection can be improved through targeted…
