TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Matterhorn Gotthard Infrastructure AG (MGI) plans to equip the vehicle ferry “Furkatunnel” with a new sales and access system. Renewal and modernization of the access system require structural modifications to the loading stations. At the same time, the infrastructure of the vehicle ferry, which has been in operation for the most part since the opening of the Furkatunnel in 1982, will also be renovated and adapted to laws (e.g. BehiG), regulations and today’s needs. The transport facilities of the users of the vehicle ferry at Realp will be rebuilt. It is essentially a road construction project. Within the mentioned perimeter, work will be carried out in the trades, on roads and yard areas, on structures, as well as on an operating building, carriageway in the loading zone area, low-voltage and telecommunications installations. No major work (smaller adaptation work) is planned or required in the railway power supply installations and in the signalling and interlocking installations.
