TENDER DESCRIPTION

BEHALA currently operates a virtualization infrastructure to secure and process its data, consisting of three Dell ESXi hosts and a separate central storage system. The existing hardware and software have reached the end of their regular life cycle. To increase information security, availability and resource efficiency, BEHALA therefore intends to modernize the existing infrastructure and replace it with a highly available cluster solution based on Microsoft Hyper-V. The subject of the procurement procedure is the complete replacement of the existing VMware infrastructure with a highly available and scalable cluster solution based on Microsoft Hyper-V and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D). The aim is to reduce system complexity and to permanently lower energy, resource, operating and administration effort. The contract includes the supply of the hardware suitable for Microsoft Windows Server Hyper-V and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), as well as the complete implementation, data migration and configuration of the cluster solution, including 5 years of Enterprise Support (Next Business Day and Keep Your Hard Drive).
