Initial situation With the study on water management in the Dosse and Jäglitz, the project aims to develop the technical basis for future management of available water for the landscape water balance within the catchment area of the Dosse–Jäglitz. For this purpose, investigations were already carried out in two preceding project phases. The essential component of Phase 1 was initially the analysis of water availability in terms of its spatial and temporal distribution within the catchment area and the associated possibilities for providing water, taking into account the Dosse storage facility for the initial situation. In Phase 2, building on this, a more intensive analysis was carried out considering all water management control units (weirs, bedload ramps etc.) with a particular focus on the interaction between groundwater and surface water.
