TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) intends, as the contracting authority (AG), to construct a new administrative building for ministerial purposes on the property “Postblock Nord” (= PBN) at Wilhelmstraße/Leipziger Straße in the Berlin district Mitte. On the adjacent property “Postblock Süd” (= PBS), a ministerial building and a residential building are to be constructed. The Postblock site is an urban district in Berlin, bounded by Wilhelm-/Leipziger-/Mauer- and Zimmerstraße. The total area lies within the scope of the development measure “Capital Berlin – Parliament and Government District”. It is one of the last major development potentials for the Federal Government in Berlin-Mitte. A nearly contiguous building site area of approximately 25,000 m² is available there, which is attributable to about half each to the areas of PBN (13,284 m²) and PBS (12,379 m²). The two plots are separated only by Buchhändlerweg, which is primarily used as a pedestrian path and for supply access.
