TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Mayenbad clinic in Bad Waldsee with 164 rooms in its existing facility is to be extended by 42 patient rooms and two lift systems. For this purpose, the architectural firm ST bauplan has provided a necessary study on feasibility regarding functionality, costs and funding eligibility, which was completed with LP 2 (preliminary design) in order to obtain a qualified cost estimate. The study proposes an 8-storey extension of the existing facility and, under the given circumstances of time-critical urgency and ensuring internal operational processes—such as the least possible burden on residents—provides the basis for being able to implement the project at all, while taking into account the ongoing clinic operations in a particularly careful manner. Therefore, significant deviations from the previous concept are only justifiable to a limited extent. The Mayenbad clinic can and will only initiate the project if the intended time frame for implementation can be ensured.
