TENDER DESCRIPTION

The municipality of Bernhardswald plans an extension to Bernhardswald primary school for the full-day care of the primary school pupils. As part of a feasibility study, several locations for the extension were examined and assessed. The approved preliminary design for the cooperative full-day programme in the form of an extension provides that the dining hall, the kitchen, a cloakroom area and a barrier-free WC will be attached to the already existing corridor zone in the north-east of the school building. In this process, the existing break hall will also be enlarged. As the school building is split-level, relocating a stair platform will also provide for the installation of a lift. In addition, existing rooms of the after-school programme and the midday care in the basement level of the primary school will be included in the floor area programme for the cooperative full-day programme.
