TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City of Schwetzingen intends to extend the school site at the already existing Johann-Michael-Zeyher Primary School at Schubertstr. 4 with a new building in wood module construction. For this purpose, by making use of public funding, the Johann-Michael-Zeyher Primary School is to be expanded into an all-day school through an extension new build. The extension building has no direct connection to the existing primary school building, but is intended, in addition to other school rooms, to provide all-day care incl. a cafeteria. The new building is to be placed in such a way in terms of its elevation that it can be accessed barrier-free and wheelchair-accessibly from the existing school building and the access road (cul-de-sac street). The neighboring railway site is located immediately adjacent. The primary school is currently two-stream (2 classes) with approximately 175 students. After the expansion into an all-day school, a two-stream setup is also to be maintained, with a maximum of 28 students per class.
