TENDER DESCRIPTION

The city of Baesweiler (hereinafter the “contracting authority”) intends to extend and refurbish the Gymnasium at Otto-Hahn-Straße 16-18 in 52499 Baesweiler as a total contractor award. The Gymnasium is located on the property of the cadastral district of Baesweiler, parcel (Flur) 008, parcel (Flurstück) 96. The property has an area of approx. 26,500 m2. The continuously increasing need for school places in the grammar school (Gymnasium) sector makes this measure necessary. In future, the Gymnasium is to be designed as a five-form entry and, in accordance with the student number monitoring, provide space for up to approx. 1,200 students. The current school site consists of three building sections (wing 1, wing 2, and wing 3/4) and a triple sports hall. As part of the planned extension, the administrative wing previously accommodated in wing 1 is to be relocated to an additional storey (extension) of the sports hall to be implemented. In addition, the refurbishment of wing 1 for the accommodation of classrooms and an extension of wing 3/4 to create new classrooms are also planned in order to meet the identified additional space requirement.
