Context of the construction measure restoration measure Bathhouse: The construction measure in question is the renovation of a listed bathhouse. The building is part of a historic spa complex that extends along the park promenade of Staatspark Wilhelmsbad and forms its center. The restoration measure of the bathhouse is part of the planned renovation of all buildings in the listed ensemble. The arcaded building adjoining to the west has already been renovated. The bathhouse was built in 1777/78 according to plans by Franz Ludwig von Cancrin as the first of the four pavilions on the Wilhelmsbad promenade. It has two full floors, as well as a mansard floor and an attic floor. Below the stairs there is a small crawl cellar. Preserving the existing building fabric is the highest priority of the construction measure and its protection during the execution of the work must be observed.
