TENDER DESCRIPTION
On the SBB infrastructure network, the train control system ETCS is used. A key component of the trackside equipment is the Eurobalises. The purpose of this tender is to select a strategic contracting party (single source) that ensures the long-term availability of the Eurobalises and technical support throughout the entire product life cycle for ETCS Levels 1 and 2. The contract includes a framework agreement for the supply of hardware as well as a service and support agreement. Hardware Supply of Eurobalises for ETCS Levels 1 and 2 including fastening material, track section connections, balise activation devices as well as programming and testing equipment. The framework agreement is concluded for a fixed duration of ten years and can subsequently be extended by the contracting authority three times for five years each time (maximum total duration 25 years). Engineering and Services Provision of the required programming and testing applications as well as performance of programming and testing services prior to commissioning and on site.
