TENDER DESCRIPTION
The ETCS train control system is used on the SBB Infrastructure network. A key component of the line equipment are Eurobalises. The aim of this tender is to select a strategic contract partner (Single Source) who ensures the long-term availability of the Eurobalises as well as technical support throughout the entire product lifecycle for ETCS Levels 1 and 2. The contract includes a framework agreement for the supply of hardware as well as a service and support agreement. Hardware Supply of Eurobalises for ETCS Levels 1 and 2 including fastening materials, track connections, balise deactivation devices as well as programming and testing equipment. The framework agreement is concluded for a fixed period of ten years and may subsequently be extended by the contracting authority three times for five years each (maximum total duration 25 years). Engineering and Services Provision of the necessary programming and testing applications as well as carrying out programming and testing services prior to commissioning and on-site.
